with simple interface for windows 8. By the Use of this app, you will able to
search train no, station code and current PNR status immediately.
How to use Rail Enquiry app – Some tips
(1) As you will impel the Rail Enquiry app after installing
from windows store. it shows some information about : super fast express
trains, special trains and many other trains which are running across various
stations.
(2) If you are willing to find out the information about any
train on the given train list then you can see by just clicking on that train
tab. your Click will show you the full information about that train (All
station from source to destination with accurate running time).
(3) You have option to select the information bar and attach
related query at the left panel of the app interface. Then results will appear
at the right panel.
(4) If you want to search train details like: train
schedule, days running on, seat availability and current running status. Then
you will have to click on the tab below train status with the Available date.
And Rest of the detail will appear below current status. During the search you
will be able to see - the stations already covered by the train are pointed out
with other different color.
(5) If you want to check seat availability for any
particular train for upcoming days and it's fare. Then firstly you will have to
select the train and after that attach the train info on the screen. Now make a
right click on blank space. Then the option of seat availability will appear at
bottom of the app screen.
(6) And for searching any station, either you can enter the
station code or you can insert the station name to find out results. After that
just click on the desired search result and you will see the complete list of
all the trains scheduled from that station for next 3-5 hours.

live running status of any particular train on Google Maps with the support of

app for windows 8. After using the above Rail Enquiry app you will feel very
less options in this App.
Its interface is not so attractive and user friendly but it
shows the short and brief search result about the trains like: train schedule,
list of trains between two stations, show distance between stations. This App
is running by the support of Auto complete search feature (which means little
mistake may be ignored). So it is not 100% able to identify the station code or
the accurate spelling of the various stations. If you are willing to book your
train ticket directly from IRCTC portal then it has allowed with this app.
Some Limited features of Indian Rail Enquiry App
(1) It is not able to show actual fare calculation of any
selected journey.
(2) Even it has no option to show the seat availability for
upcoming days.
(3) The information about selected Train query is short and
simple.
(4) Unavailability of the tracking option of current running
train location.
